Another Urobuchi Anime

I’ve been watching and loving Psycho-Pass, an anime written by Urobuchi Gen, the guy who wrote Madoka and Fate/Zero, currently my favourite anime writer.

So far it’s fantastic – I love Kawahara Reki’s plausible near-future technology, and Urobuchi Gen shows that he can do it just as well. While the anime is set 100 years in the future, I can seriously imagine all of the technology within 10, and the social change within a generation or two. Despite being by Production IG harking back at Ghost in the Shell, the series avoids shedding its Japanese elements.
