Lockout

Lockout is one of those sci-fi movies that turn up and disappear. Guy Pierce plays a very funny, very cool character who I wish would get his own franchise. Unfortunately he’s paired with an extremely annoying, useless, idealistic girl who can only get him into trouble, get other people killed, and then claim the moral high ground.

Anyway, it’s a decent enough sci-fi action, but the villains don’t get into any good confrontations – they’re menacing, but it’s anticlimatic not to have a showdown. Additionally the framing plot was interesting, but it too didn’t go anywhere.
