2014 Q2 Anime Impressions 2

A few more:

* Mushishi Zoku Shou – Probably the anime of the season for me – beautiful art and interesting stories, though the character designs are rough for my tastes and the episodic nature in not my favourite.

* Knights of Sidonia – Scribbly Tsutomu Nihei gets a completely CGI anime adaptation! The multi-character focus is a huge departure from his bleak wanderer setups; I’m curious to see where the anime will take things, but it won’t replace his original art.

* Gokukoku no Brynhildr – By the Okamoto Lynn (Rin), the creator of the extreme and eccentric Elfen Lied, the OP suggests psychological horror and the starting episode doesn’t shy away from death. The production values are good, and I’ll continue watching to see when things go crazy.
