Madoka 3: Rebellion

Madoka 3: Rebellion is an excellent continuation of the series, following up on one of the main elements of the preceding story. It picks up where the series left off, though that’s perhaps not so obvious at first, which is all part of the fun.

The animation and music (by Kajiura Yuki, who else) are fantastic, but I didn’t like the final twist – which was apparently foisted upon Urobuchi Gen by the producer and director.
